January will be one year since Samsung announced its Galaxy A 2017 family. If you look at their evolution, the manufacturer’s midrange has been changing to look more like the respective flagship presented each year.
With the current models Samsung implemented water resistance and opted for designs more similar to those of the Galaxy S7 and everything indicates that this year there will be many similarities with the S8, including names.
At the moment there is nothing confirmed, but the registration in Bluetooth SIG of the next Samsung average range indicates that the definitive names will not be Galaxy A5 2018 and Galaxy A7 2018, but Galaxy A8 218 and Galaxy A8 Plus 2018, as we saw in the duo of ‘flagships’ presented at the beginning of the year.
Reasonable similar, also in the name
The arrival of the new Galaxy A 2018 is imminent and details about its characteristics are beginning to flood the rumor mill. In this case, as we said, the information comes from the registration in the Bluetooth SIG database and points out that the model that should happen to the Galaxy A5 will be called Galaxy A8 and that the Galaxy A7 will adopt the name of Galaxy A8 Plus, same as the big model of the duo S8.
But this would not be the only resemblance to the high-end signature. As we have seen in previous generations, the philosophy of the A family is to offer own features of the flagship of the moment but at more adjusted prices.
And what characteristic of the S8 will reach the mid-range this year? According to all the leaks will be the Infinity screen, so here we would also have a design of reduced frames.
Galaxy A 2018 Specifications
The leaks have also been responsible for unveiling what would be its technical details. Both models would have an Exynos 7785 processor, accompanied by 4 GB of RAM and an expandable 32 GB storage pool with MicroSD.
Another point to note is the fingerprint reader, which would be placed under the rear camera, just the location it would take in the Galaxy S9.
The worst thing without a doubt is that they would come out with Android Nougat 7.1.1, always according to rumors. It remains to know what the screen size will be, the resolution and if this year there will also be a more compact model as the successor of the Galaxy A3 2017.
